Nick Pieters: Managing Director

Graduating with a Masters degree in Electronics Engineering in 1987, he started his career in a large defense organization and gained valuable experience in military software development standards.

An experienced software architect and team leader, Nick has a significant 19 year track record in designing, developing and integrating state-of-the-art software for some of the largest organisations in South Africa.

With the establishment of Xpitec he has been passionate in the development of the company and its people and he has established a unique environment where lateral thinking is encouraged in all who contribute to the company’s growing success.

Nick enjoys the excitement of applying new technologies to project requirements, turning them in to world class solutions.

Dirk van den Berg: Operations Director

Graduating with a Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering in 1998, he started his career in a medium-sized aerospace systems company and gained valuable experience in a RTCA (Level A to D) based software lifecycle development environment.

As an experienced software engineer with 11 years track record, Dirk has significant experience with the design, development, module testing and integrating of embedded aerospace systems for use with local and overseas clients.

At Xpitec he has been actively involved with defining the company operation principles that is practical, flexible and efficient which contributes greatly to the continual success and positive work culture of the company.

Dirk enjoys the continual challenge of providing excellent products and services to clients, while striving to maintain the creative, ingenious problem solving and positive work ethnic of Xpitec personnel.
